Telephone Interview Tips
We will ask you to do a telephone interview if you have met our minimum criteria and passed our online tests. Basically it’s the same as an interview; but you’re just not sitting in the same room. So please approach it in the same way. Here are some tips to help you make sure you give your best.
- Please be ready to take the call when your interviewer contacts you.
- Make sure you prepare: that you know the programme and business area you’re applying for; and that you’ve thought about how you might have the right qualities.
- Answer questions carefully and with the appropriate emphasis.
- Remember this is an interview where we are trying to find out about you; so be yourself even though it’s on the phone and not face-to-face.
- Make sure you are somewhere quiet and comfortable; where you can be relaxed and hear the questions easily. Whether you should be sitting down, standing up or walking around, is all down to personal preference.
