No ordinary Marketing department
We’re no ordinary Marketing department. We’re one of the largest in the country backed by a £multi-million budget. We’re involved in many high-profile sponsorship deals. And we develop and manage award-winning products and services across our entire consumer banking portfolio.
World class brands
Consumer Products and Marketing are actually two separate departments. But we work closely and put our combined knowledge to work on a wide range of products and some of the country’s best known brands. Including, of course, two of the biggest names on the high street – RBS and NatWest.
A hotbed of opportunity
We look after the commercial management of our product portfolio. We create new strategies, develop new products and look for fresh and innovative ways to drive our brands forward. And when you consider the diversity of those products and the profile of those brands, you’ll understand what an exciting opportunity that presents.
Two years. Four placements
The programme itself lasts two years. During that time you’ll get involved in a wide range of projects. Four placements, each of six months, will give you the chance to experience both Marketing and Consumer Products. And whether it’s a product you’ve helped to develop or a campaign you’ve launched, you’ll always get to see the results.
Test your talent at the highest level
How many schemes offer graduates the chance to get actively involved in high profile sponsorship deals such as the RBS 6 Nations Rugby Tournament, the AT&T Williams F1 Team, NatWest Cricket, the O2 or the Edinburgh Military Tattoo?
Contribute from the word go
The path you follow will be in your hands. You’ll decide which placements best match your aspirations. But wherever you work you’ll become an integral part of the team. You’ll gain a wealth of experience working alongside seasoned marketers from a variety of industries. And once you’ve completed your CIM qualification, you’ll be on your way to becoming a world class marketing or product manager.
What we’ll be looking for
A Marketing degree would be helpful but it’s certainly not essential. Far more important are an adaptable approach and a head full of innovative ideas. We’re looking for people who can grasp large amounts of information quickly. People with a real desire to stretch their own abilities and take on a variety of challenges.
